Using partition magic v8 I created a dual boot pc - w2k and xp pro.
At this point, I can't think of any reason to keep w2k and have decided
to delete the w2k partition and tighten up xp pro. I've installed all
recommended ms xp patches and security updates and mcafee virus software and
ISS RealSecure Desktop.
I run xp in a small wireless peer to peer network.

Please recommend other things I should do the xp be make it more secure,
stable,, etc.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, if you delete the Win2k partition you will also delete the WinXP
bootloader. There's five files you shouldnt delete.
Ntldr, Cmldr, Ntdetect, Bootsect.dos and Boot.ini. You will see these
files if you go to Win2k>WinExplorer>Tools>
Folder Options>View>Advanced Settings>Uncheck Hide protected operating
system files
