recommeded updates

in windows update, I always do the critical updates and
the drivers. There are several of the recommended updates
that I will not be downloading and would like to remove,
but only the add button is clickable. How do I do this?

1) If you see only the "Add" button available, it isn't added - it won't
install unless you add it.
2) Don't use the driver updates - too many bad things can happen that way.
Always get your driver updates from the hw manufacturer's website.
