Best I've found so far is to use a PS2 controller and a PS2 to USB adapter.
They work well, all 12 buttons work, ff works etc. and they take abuse like
no other Only problem is no "rudder/throttle" slider so I use a Logitech
Wingman for fliers, e.g. FS2004.
