What's a good web site/sites to go to if I want to build my own Windows
based desktop?
I mean as far as getting all the hardware, case, drives, cpu, chips, mother
board, wires, etc.

I know it may not make much dollar sense to do this, but I need a computer
that's only for studio work, no internet, word, excel, games etc.
I have to install a liquid cooling kit because of the recording/studio work
it can not make any sound. System like that seems to make more sense to do
on my own.

Thanks.

Although you may not want to overclock, some of the overclocking
sites/usenet groups would be very well placed to give you information on
water cooling. Just explain why you want it, and people there will help.

alt.comp.hardware.overclocking and alt.comp.hardware.overclocking.amd are a
couple of good Usenet groups to start with.

Liquid cooling will only take care of one of the problem. Just remember,
hard drive, floppy, CDROM and power supply will also produce noise that
might not be acceptable to you.
