Good morning,

I need that Windows recognize my DVD writer as such as DVD reader (I need to
disable possibility to burn everything).

I tried to use windows drivers for DVD standard but I haven't fortune...

Have you got any idea?

Thank you very much for your help.

Kind regards

Remove any 3rd party DVD burning software you have on the PC. Windows XP
can't burn DVD's, unless there is additional software installed.

I'm presuming you mean, for some users, not for all.
If this is on a network running AD, you can disable access to many things
via group policy.
If not, check out Windows Steady State and/or Doug Knox's XP Security
Console for other options.

There are burning software that not need installation. I tried some of that
and you can burn CD/DVD without be administrator...

Thank you.
