Following a destructive system restore I've lost the original factory drivers
for the DVD writer.
The site http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome.html is extremely
helpfull, I can even find the drivers page for my DVD writer......but
strange......againsts the driver details it shows 0 bytes. I find out after
hours and hours of searching that my writer is no longer supported.

I am loosing the will to live.....does anyone out there have the original
driver?

Am I the only person in the whole world to have such a unique thingy?

You shouldn't need drivers for the DVD drive - like CD drives they're
included in XP.

What you will need is DVD decoding softwae and DVD burning software.

I had this problem and found Nero which works well.
