Hi,
I'm trying to place an MS word doc into an access 2003 form using the
unbound object from the tool bar.

I'm getting an error when getting out of design view and going to normal
view, I recieve and error saying
(A problem occured while MS Access was communicating with the OLE server or
ActiveX Control)
Close the OLE Server and restart it out side of Access, And retry operation
again.

I have no idea what all this means, OLE server? Do you have any suggestions
to help w/this operation.

Thanks--I appreciate your help.

Hi patentinv,

In this case, the OLE Server is Microsoft Word. So, they're saying close
Access, then start MS Word, then close it. Then restart Access and try the
operation again. I'm not sure if this will resolve your problem or not, but
the act of starting the OLE Server by itself re-registers the server. Thus,
if there is a problem with how Word is registered on your PC, this should
take care of it.
