Recieved mail is randomly scattered

All my mail is randomly scattered throughout the input mailbox. Nothing I do
will straighten it out, including attempting to move the entries. What is
the resolution?
 
click on the heading for whichever column you want to sort by.
Like From, Subject, Received date
