Recieve taking very long

I have been using Outlook 2007 for 6 months just fine now. It has started to
take very long to recieve email from my single POP3 account - I mean 10-15
min for a 1.5mb download long - it is brutal. I also noticed an icon on the
bottom right that says Outlook is "Synchronizing" my folders.
Any suggestions to get recieve back to normal speeds?
 
Any other email accounts set up in Outlook?
If you have antivirus email integration enabled then disable it.
