receriving vista mail in outlook express

I am not receiving email sent to my outlook express 6.0 from a friends vista
mail program. what must I, or we, do in order to correct this problem?

Does your friend get anything like a bounce notice, non-delivery notice,
or an error message? If not, are you using any type of anti-spam filter
or message rules that might send that message straight to Deleted
Items or to a spam folder?
