How to import email from OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6.0 (XP) into WINDOWS MAIL (vista) 2 different computers

Upgrading to a new computer : How do you import email from OUTLOOK EXPRESS
6.0 (XP) to WINDOWS MAIL (vista) between an old computer and a new computer?
I have tried suggested methods coping folder from old to new but WINDOWS
MAIL tools>options>maintenance>store folder doesn't like folder because it
is not empty.

The end result is I am trying to migrate mail from Outlook Express to MS
Outlook 2007 and this is the round about way MS outlook help recommends but
it doesn't work!
