'Recently Used Progs' list in START omits a lot

My 'Most Recently Used Programs' list at the bottom left of the START
menu omits a lot of the programs I use.

Can I tweak my XP Pro to get that list to include *any* program that
I run?

Hi,

There is only so much space available, and the setting to control the number
of programs shown can be found in Taskbar and Start Menu properties/Start
menu tab/Customize/general tab.

If you want to see everything, ditch the silly XP interface and switch to
the Classic start menu. I do this by default when setting up new XP
workstations.

Rick Nutcase,

I have got the START menu's MRU program list set so that I can see
FOUR recently used programs (that's enough for me).

But the programs which appear there are usually MS Office programs
and all the other programs I might use never appear there.

How do I get all the programs I use to appear there?

Rt\click on the program and `pin to start menu`.
