Recently I have left over images on the screen, how do I get rid of them

It seems all of a sudden I'm getting left over images on the screen. Lines
on top. Like a whole menu line on top of the screen and on the bottom as
well. Of course I can't read what is behind them. I tried refresh, and F5,
but nothing is happening. Any help is appreciated.......Peter
 
Check your eventviewer for any application or system errors and warnings.

Check device manager for any warnings. Uninstall and reinstall your video
driver.

Do a virus and adware scan.

Do a system retore to a point before you began having the problem.
