Receiving old emails as new ones everytime I hit Send/Receive butt

i have 4000 or so emails too, and can't get any new ones. Outlook 2003,
Macafee virus scan on my laptop. This has never happened before, though, just
started out of the blue last week. Very frustrating... HELP please. And how
can I know when anyone replies if I can't get new inbox messages?! ha ha

FYI: You are replying to a post that is over 4.5 years old! Instead of
digging up such an old thread, it is better to start your own thread with
your own information and telling which suggestions you've tried already.

The solution still applies to your situation. Have you tried it already?
You cannot do anything against needing to redownload all the emails though
unless you can set a date on the server or move all the messages from the
Inbox on the server to a separate folder.

By visiting the website that you posted the message on, you can still see
when somebody replied ;-)
