I cannot send mail. I keep getting the message The connection to the server
has failed. Subject 'Re: ', Account: 'aol', Server: 'smtp.aol.com', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number:

I can recieve mail, but cannot send. I double checked that the outgoing

No need to post the same question twice.
What happens when you try to receive? Do you get an error message?
If so, right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without that complete error message.

hi, sorry, i posted again, because i wanted to get a reply in my email box.

If you receive some of your incoming emails, then the possible reasons for
not getting the remainder are:
a) they are going into your Junk E-mail folder or Deleted Items folder.
b) the sender has an incorrect email address for you.
c) your mail provider considers those messages to be spam, and is
either bouncing them back to the sender, or else is putting those messages
into a spam folder on the server.

I also can no longer receive my emails but i get NO error messages , In fact
when I click receive all it goes through the motions and at the end says
"all tasks have completed successfully" but still no emails. Can you help
please ?. I am using AVG

For starters, your AVG antivirus was probably installed with its default install option.
If so, uninstall it, then reinstall, but select 'custom' install, which then
allows you to unselect installing its troublesome email scanning module.

While AVG is uninstalled, try Windows Mail again, just to verify that
the culprit has been found.

If no improvement, are the missing messages available via webmail?
