Receiving error 0x800CCC0F: connection to server interrupted

My Outlook no longer can receive POP email for two of four of my email
accounts. I get the error msg "Task' (e-mail address removed) - Receiving'
reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted.
If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet
service provider (ISP). The server responded: +OK 13759 octets'.

I have tried everything I know (rebooting, detect and repair, delete and
replace the email acct) and still get the error. Help!

Thank you, -John

I have had the same problem. Sometimes one outgoing msg. will work (very
seldom). I have increased the timing to 4 mins., moved outgoing email to
draft & tried to send one email at a time (no luck). Have problems whether I
have an anti-virus software or not. Also, even turned windows firewall off.
This is VERY frustrating. Any one with any luck correcting this. P.S. I just
bought a new version of 2003 - old version 2002 worked fine. RJ

Two things to try: 1) with Outlook closed, delete the send/receive settings
file
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook\yourprofile.srs. 2) Create a new mail profile.
