Receiving Emails

How do I configure Outlook to automatically receive emails immediately upon
opening the program?
 
If you've set Outlook to automatically poll for mail every X minutes the
first polling should occur just after Outlook starts up.
 
I have Outlook configured to poll every one minute. But upon opening the
program it does not automatically poll. Any other suggestions,

When does the first polling happen? With a one minute poll time, it would
hard to know if the first happens at start up or not

Thanks for your continuing support but nothing has changed. I put the auto
receive back to 3 minute intervals ... my initial problem remains. Something
is misconfigured (I have re-checked my settings 4 times)or not functioning
properly.

Any other suggestions?
