Hello, a few of the corporate email users are receiving 2 of the same email
messages from certain sender within the network...

There is no pop3 involved. I checked to so if the those messages got held up
in the quaranteened queue in our SPAM filtering enviornment. I did not
transit there.

Exchange System Manager tracking shows -
SMTP:Message Delivered Locally to (e-mail address removed)
SMTP: SMTP Store Driver:message delivered locally to store to
(e-mail address removed)

If Message Tracking shows that only one message was delivered, then odds
are it's a rule that is duplicating the message. In other words, lets say
you have two rules, one that works on Subject of There are Cats, one that
works on messages from Bob. If Bob sends you a message with the Subject
There are Cats, both rules will work on the message and could have you end
up with duplicates.

Look at your rules. Make sure that, if applicable, they have the 'Stop Processing
More Rules' action. See if that fixes the problem

thx a lot. I was able to stop the processing of more rules on each rules
setup on that Outlook client.

Sent out test mails from email user producing dups to users receiving the
dups.. got NDR saying you don't have permission to send to those recipients.

It was wired. Then, I check the Add-ins, tried to undo the email scanning
option. that did not help. So then, disabled add-in extension for ACT - Sage
software resolved the problem. But, I'm not sure how that would impact the
Act funtionalilty.. user could have configured Outlook 2003 as the email
editor for Act.. I'm not familier with this sage software.. so I may hear
something from the user later on.. Thx .. I'll keep you posted. In most cases
it's the rules for sure causing thsi.
