Receiving doubles of e-mails

Hi,
I use Microsoft Outlook and my provider said this is the
reason I keep receiving my e-mails in double. It becomes
annoying. My friends who use the same Outlook have the
same problem.

Do you have a solution other than switching to Outlook
Express which I don't want?

Do you use a firewall or antivirus set to scan your incoming mail? If yes,
turn that feature off.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

So we should remove all of our security? I have the
problem more in Outlook Express than I do Outlook. And, I
notice it usualy happens when I have Messanger running at
the same time.

That's not what Milly said. She said disable incoming mail scanning. If
you have the on-access scanner still enabled, you're just as protected.

Is it a pop account or an HTTP account at Hotmail?
