Receiving Double Emails in Inbox (Outlook 2007)

Hi there,

I am using Outlook 2007 on my WinXp operating system. My home computer is
now downloading my email messages and duplicating them. When I log onto the
webmail server for Shaw and my work, the emails are single. My laptop and
work computer only downloads them once, but my home desktop duplicates the
messages. Have I changed a setting on my home desktop?

I have been in contact with Shaw and it is not a problem there.
I have run Outlook in safe mode with networking and it still duplicates so
it is not a Nortons problem.
I have deleted and re-created the email account and it still does 2x.

How can I prevent this from happening.

what happens in windows safe mode

Please try creating a new profile
START>control panel>mail>view profiles.

let us know the status.

Recreating the mail profile at this point is much too drastic; there are
more obvious reasons for these duplication to happen than a corrupt mail
profile.
