I have Outlook 2002. Lately, I have been receiving emails with attached .jpg
photos (from MAC user) and every email has .txt files such as
ATT...........txt attached. I use Eset Nod32 Virus Scanner.

For example, today I received 3 photos along with 6 of the .txt files.

Any ideas on how to prevent this? Now I save the photos and then manually
delete the .txt files, but would prefer not to get them.

Are the txt-files already attached when looking at the email in the web
based mail client provided by your ISP? If so, then the issue is not on your
side.

I'm not sure if what I'm answering is what you are after. Tonight I received
an email with 2 photos, as attachments.

Using Outlook to open the email, along with 2 jpg attachments, there was a
67B attachment (ATT0009.txt) and a 78B attachment (ATT00012.txt), both empty.

When I went to my ISP webmail to view the email, along with the 2 jpg
attachments, there were 3 unknown 1 KB attachments.

The sender is using a MAC and does not know anything about the extra
attachments. We use the same ISP, but I don't know if that is relevant.

Thanks,
Paula

This means nothing is wrong in your configuration and need troubleshooting
at the sender's side. Could be in virus scanning, message format or
multipart settings (at least, that is where I would look first).
