recalling name, e-mail, etc.

recovering from harddrive crash - XP Professional

does anybody out there know how to get the system to recall name, e-mail,
and other routinely necessary entries?? i had it before the crash.

if so please help me.

I'm not sure of the exact question but if the disk
crashed then the "system" that's going to be doing the
recalling is you. (Assuming you don't have backups.)
You just need to go into the various programs and enter
the needed information.

I suggest you start backing up. It will make recovering
from the next disk crash a lot easier.

Amen to that. I now have a 60 GB external hard-drive, and I load on to it all
significant files and folders on a daily basis. You don't have to load
everything every day, just the new files and folders. There may be more
sophisticated systems quoted, but this one really works. I think all backup
systems that don't involve a large external drive are stupid. I am talking
USB 2 of course. USB 1 is far too slow.
