rebuilding failed bdc

my domain contains one primary domain controller and three
backup domain controllers. One of the backup domain
controllers failed (hard drive failure) and must be
rebuilt from cd.

i would like to use the same host name when i rebuild. do
i need to clean up active directory (delete account for
the failed bdc) before i rebuild the bdc, or can i simply
rebuild it? if clean-up is needed, what tool do i use?

Not much point in using "anonymous" if you also use your real
address (in the other posting.)

Even one posting will stay on places like Google for years.
