Rebuild ICONS

The Icons on my desktop have disappeared. How can I rebuild them? Thank you.

First try right-clicking on the desktop and then Arrange Icons By >
Display Desktop Icons.

Otherwise go into the Display applet > Desktop > Customize Desktop
