im having this problem were if i try to download anything ending in .exe, my
system will just reboot, it also happens when u try to install it, although
not every time. the other thing im having problems with, is editing the
registry,.... typing mscongif will reboot the system...im thinking my os is
curropt, but if i restore it, it will do the same thing

i also scanned my system for viruses and spyware, nothing, also got all
updates, same thing...

anyone got any suggestions?

there is an msconfig command you can execute from the Start > run
menu item. * note spelling

edit the registry id Start > Run > regedit * you want to be real
careful about what your doing here

I would look at your virus protection if you have any.
simply downloading an exe file should not cause you any problems
except maybe some caution messages

Are you running as system administrator ?

nope, and just doing regedit or msconfig from run. will reboot the
computer....im stumped...i dont get why it does that at all
