Rebooting an XP workstation

How often should a PC be restarted to ensure optimal operation? I have users
that do not reboot for days if not weeks at a time, and I have been searching
for Microsoft's requirement for Windows XP SP2
 
There is no requirement to ever reboot a PC running Windows XP, unless a
software installation requires it.
