Reboot w/o warning

I just put together a box with Win2K Pro, Office 2K, and
some other small programs for it to be a standard client.
I was told that at certain times the computer reboots
without warning which I can't have happen for obvious
reasons. After working with it, I found that after
opening an email message with a PDF in it, opening the
attachment in Adobe reader (4.0 & 6.0) then closing Adobe
makes the computer shut off. When I say shut off, I mean
the monitor goes black immediately and the lights on the
front start flashing and it starts back up to the logon
screen. Has anyone heard of something like this
happening? I have found out now that it happens in other
PDFs as well. I've tried both versions of Adobe and it
doesn't do it on my computer or anyone elses.

I'm concerned that you mention that you recieved an "E-
mail" with and attachment... Because of this I would
recommend that you check the system for viruses too.

You possibly picked up the "Blaster" virus. You can go to
http://www.mcafee.com and download a generic virus
checker called "stinger" from their website. It will find
and destroy most common viruses.

have you ever resolved your reboot issues, I seem to have
similar issues but more without reason than opening
emails with pdf files

thanks
