Reboot o Running Exe

I have Windows XP Professional SP2. For the last 2 weeks everytime I try to
download an exe file from the web (itunes.exe, skype.exe any exe) my computer
restarts soon after the download of the file starts from the web. I have no
idea what is leading to this. Anyone knows?

Something wrong with your browser. Try Firefox
instead of IE.
