realsched.exe using 98% of cpu

When I start pc and logon my Gateway is very slow. I open
up task manager and click on processes
and "realsched.exe" is running cpu at 98%. What is this
and how can return my pc to normal speed? Please help.

You should be able to either right-click on the RealPlayer
icon near the clock and indicate to it NOT to start the
scheduler application automatically. Or from the Programs
or All Programs menu, locate the RealPlayer folder and see
if there's a way to turn off the automatic startup of Real
Scheduler from there.

Also, if unable to resolve (above) you could try using
MSCONFIG to remove it from the Startup tab in the System
Configuration Utility. See this:

It is the the RealNetworks Scheduler for your Real One Media Player. I am
not sure of its function. You can probably read the help section of the
RealOne Player to determine that. That was one of the first things I
disabled when I started tweaking my computer. I know it is a resourse hog
and I didn't need it. I can still use RealOne if I need to so it does not
effect the use of the program for watching/listening to media.
