Any RealPlayer version support Vista?
Or other RealPlayer-compatible utility?

Google it, and check at their website!
Mick if I might say, the Google it answer could be given to everyone on
here. Best in MHO to give a little more in the way of help.

Ian, you come here to help people, so do I; as well as picking up a few tips
from threads for ourselves along the way.

We have to go and do a simple search for a media player compatibility, why
won't they? This Newsgroup is riddled with "Go to the app or hardware
manufacturers website" answers.

If they can navigate to here, they can navigate to google and real player.

I prefer to spend my time trying to help people who can't get their computer
working "normally", if I happen to have the answer!

Cheers

Simply because some have just started out in computers and need a hand while
you and I may be old hands and know where to look. Perhaps at my age I have
learnt a degree of patience with my fellow men and women.

I'm using Vista version 6.06000 Build. It was released around May 2007.

I downloaded Realplayer Beta, VERSION 11 August 17, 2007.

I've used Realplayer to watch movies and found that:

1) Realplayer will play VOB video files.
2) Realplayer won't recognize Chapters when playing DVD's. You have to fast
forward or move the clip on the bar to go forward.
3) Realplayer fills the screen about 1 inch more thatn Windows MediaPlayer
when playing a full screen DVD.

Because I watch movies more than listen to music on my computer, and because
Realplayer doesn't recognize chapters, I may dump Realplayer and continue to
use Windows Media PLayer.
