On my old WinXP computer, when I try to boot it up with only minimal devices
attached to it and as little PCI cards as possible, I get a grey progress bar
running across the screen. After it fills up, the computer does nothing at
all. this happens when the Windows XP loading screen should normally appear.
What makes it really weird is that I can boot into a small version of Linux
called Zenwalk, or DOS, but not larger versions of Linux.
