I have 3-desktops tethered and 3-laptops wireless all with current XP home
sp2 except for 1-(evil) Media center edition. Internet is sweet and happy
with all running great. Files share between us all resiliently. Question is:
On different computers in the "My Network Places" folder the shared folders
are in different locations. In one example I have one shared docs folder in
the "Local Network" area and all other folders in "The Internet" area
including local shared doc folders and legitimate extenal links like FTP. My
laptop top has'em all correct with the local shared folders in the proper
"Local Network" and external internet connections under "The Internet"
folder. I'ts in different combinations among the computers. What if any
affect does this have. Everything works well. Does having my shared folders
under "The Internet" catagory more expose my files to a vulnerability?
