real time still strong?

I remember in MSAS that a weekly scan was all that was necessary becasue the
real time protection was so strong. We were encouraged to view the real time
events log as proof. So what does the encouragement of daily scans with
Defender say about its real time protection?

I'm not sure I recall that advice about beta1.

There's a post yesterday, I think, from a [MSFT] poster talking about real
time protection--I'd urge a search of these groups on that key as sender--I
think it would turn up the post. Real time protection is stronger than it
was with Microsoft Antispyware beta1.

In addition, the Quickscan is also stronger.
