After removing the Real Tek program from my pc after experiencing a DLL
relocation error message, I am unable to successfully reinstall it and get
audio back on my pc. my add/remove folder shows the following software is
installed on my computer: 1) Realtek AC'97 Audio 2) Realtek High
Definition Audio Driver.

Question: why is there no sound on my pc?

It's most unfortunate that you went and did that. The error you were
getting resulted from a recent Windows update. Microsoft released a simple
patch that autoinstalled to correct the problem. It's a little late for
that as apparently you have done some serious damage to the system,
corrupted the registry or some such thing. A complete reinstall of the
operating system should put everything right. It's a fairly simple business
that can be handled by any knowledable person in about 20 to 30 hours.
There is good information on the internet available to help you with the
process. You might as well try it yourself. Look at it this way, your
system is already screwed up, how much worse could you make it?

Good luck, Sanje
