Real Strange

When I try to run sfc/scannow, and insert my windows xp disk I get a notice
incorrect disk. I checked my product number with jellybean and the number is
correct. Does anybody have any ideas?

Your disk my not have SP2, does the message say "newer
version" installed?

No, it says incorrect disk.

Hi Irwin,

If you have installed SP2, you will need to create a "Slipstreamed" disk to
use scannow from a disk, i.e., a disk with XP and SP2 integrated. The
following link will give excellent instructions for creating such a disk.
