READYBOOST

I have only had my new laptop for about a month and already my readyboost has
gone titts up. (sony vao )

I started off using a 1gig usb with it, which worked fine but now it doesnt
even ask me if i want to use readyboost.

When i tried to open it, the swine tries to open in adobe reader.

As you may have guessed i am not too good at this stuff, can anyone give me
a bit of guidence or perhaps slap me round the face realy hard with a
hairless cat.

You can set it to always open with ReadyBoost. Then whenever you plug it in,
it will just automatically do it. And to do this, go to Computer and right
click on the flash drive (it should be under the removeable storage divider)
and there should be an option that lets you open AutoPlay. Then on the
AutoPlay menu, select ReadyBoost and there should be a check box that says
"Always perform this action with this device" check that. and then you should
be good!

If you are going to use a USB drive for ReadyBoost, you need to insert the
drive and leave it inserted, permanently. Format the USB drive and then set
it up for ReadyBoost again.
