ReadIris for Mac 11 - vs. Omnipage

Till now I've used Omnipage X for Mac OSX, which seems to have
radically lagged behind the PC updates. It's been pretty clunky as a
piece of software. So yesterday I bought ReadIris 11 for the Mac
online, on the Iris site, for $60.00. I like it far better than
OmniPage in most cases, recognition is way faster for plain text, it's
got great PDF image on text and text on images options. BUT - there
seems to be no way to proofread the text and manually correct it
before exporting as PDF text on image. It seems you are left with
whatever errors it makes, it makes. Is that a real lack or am I
missing the ability to manually proofread before exportin to the PDF
options? Manual proofead *is* an option in Omnipage. Or is there a
way to proof the text after the export that I'm missing?

Also unlike Omnipage you apparently can't save a multi page scan as
one file, you have to save each page as an image (maybe the corporate
version lets you do this, I am using the so-called "Upgrade" though I
am not upgrading from a previous version).

Lastly, with my Canon LIdE 600F, it invokes ScanGear for each page,
radically slowing down the scan process - Omnipage just scans directly
into Omnipage making it relatively quicker.

Any thoughts on ReadIris vs. Omnipage. Overall I have to say someone
did a good job with ReadIris, given that it's priced way under
Omnipage or Abby. (I do wonder though why every other sentence in the
manual seems to end with an exclamation point!)
