OE6.00.2900.2180

XP Version 5.1 Build 2600.xpsp_sp2 --- SP2

I normally read two newsgroups daily in the bottom pane; however, yesterday those (plus the other newsgroups on my computer,) are reading only by double-clicking and **opening each post.**

I have tried to move up the bar by pointing and expecting to turn to the little black double arrow that moves it. I cannot make the pointer turn to the arrow so that I can read in the bottom pane. I have rebooted twice to no avail. Must say my mail folders are still set to read in bottom pane with no problem.

Any tip for getting the setting to read in the bottom pane on the newsgroups?

Is there a setting somewhere that determines how reading in newsgroups is since I cannot get the double arrow to show in order it the way I have in the past: Read in bottom pane.

TIA

OE, <select newsgroup>, Edit menu, "Layout", put it a check in "Show preview pane". It is also possible that you accidently
'dragged down' on the top line of the pane. Point at the bottom line, and drag it up.

The setting was already there to "view bottom pane." I unchecked it and
rechecked and checked apply. Nothing changed. (FYI It's View/Layout in
XPHome)

I see one line and then the systray which brings up the quick launch bar
(toward the top) and the systray. Actually don't even see a second line
except the change of color of the Quick Launch Tray.

No progress but will keep trying. Thanks for responding, Mark.

Success!!! I went back to look at the setting again and it hadn't held when
I tried to reset it. Soooo I set it again and it works! Thanks for telling
me about that setting in Layout because that's what did it...unchecking and
resetting that setting.
