I have a notebook and a desktop that both include the
Windows XP Versions, and when I go to read an attachment
included on a message in my outlook express, I cannot
read it. It shows the clip, but when I click on the
clip, nothing happens. Can anyone help me with this
problem?

Check this:

OE>Tools>Options>Security Tab. Uncheck: "Do not allow attachments........."

Remember to use caution. Any attachment may contain a virus, even if you
know the sender.

What kind of attachment? In Outlook Express it will block potentially
harmful attachments. If you know it is ok you can go to "Tools > Options >
Security Tab> uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that
might be a virus."" Click O.K restart and it should work.

If you are sure the attachement is safe...

Goto Tools, Options
Then goto the Security tab
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could
potentially be a virus"

Microsoft implemented this change to prevent users from inadvertedly
executing viruses and other bad code within unexpected attachments. It is
ALWAYS a bad to open an unexpected attachment. Verify the sender sent the
attachment before opening.
