Reading A Drive - not recognising disk.

Have no errors on devices and cannot see anything wrong - The system says A
drive is installed - drivers are fine.. but it just keeps saying - please
insert disk when trying to explore drive. (Have tried many different
disks...)
Any help muchly apprec.
