Read receipts keep getting sent out for the same email on a dailybasis

An email was sent from personA to personB over 6 months ago - personB
read the message straight away and sent a read receipt - which is
fine.But eveyday since, personB sends a read receipt for the same
original email that personA sent 6 months ago everytime personB loads
Outlook2000 up - any ideas to stop this
