A person with whom I was collaborating gave me some critical correspondence
in the form of a number of Outlook 2003 messages which had been saved simply
by either dragging and dropping them into windows explorer or, possibly, by
selecting them all and choosing 'save as' and saving them in message format.
They appear as outlook messages in the folder she gave me, but cannot be
opened by either outlook 2002 or word 2002. I cannot contact the person
concerned to create new, readable copies of the files.
I can't believe there isn't some sort of backwards compatability between
programs only a year apart: can anyone suggest how I might read the messages?
