Hi I have set up a small network on three computers running XP Pro. I am
Administrator, everyone else is User.
I installed all the software whilst logged on and the users can all use the
original programmes Iinstalled.
Subsequently, I then installed another programme, but when the users try and
use it, they get an error message saying that the files are read only.
Sure, the programme folders, all files and sub folders are read only. So I
logged on, and went to the folder and unchecked Read only, and accepted all
files and subfolders. Applied the change and logged off. When users log
on, the files are still read only.
How do I switch off read only for the users on this programme please.
