Re: VPN Client and login script

Hi ash

It could work if you ask your user to use the vpn BEFORE entering uid and
password on the logon window.
By checking the box 'Use dial-up connection'

Thanks Kristoff for your posting.

Do you want to mean the Windows login winddow or the VPN
login window? In the VPN login window there in nothing
like use dialup connection. However, in the windows login
window there is one. If the users tick on that, they
can't login using the network uers id and credential.
This is obvious uless the VPN connection is established,
computer does not know the exisitence of the doamin.

It does not work.

The situation is like this. From home or other place,
users dilaup to the ISP then connect to our network via
VPN. Users are not directly dialling into our network.

Any other idea?

Ash

Your answer here highlights why you are having problems with this. You
refer to the VPN login window. Making a VPN connection is just establishing
a point-to-point connection. It is not a login operation, and it does not
trigger scripts to run.

To log into the domain, you need to use the "log in using a dialup
connection" option in the Windows login dialog box.
