re uninstalling norton

similar problem.
uninstalled norton internet security.
cannot uninstall llivereg as it says needed for norton antivirus.(from add/
remove programs applet of control panel)
cannot uninstall liveupdate as it says it is running and must wait for it to
finish..(from add/ remove programs applet of control panel)
cannot uninstall norton antivirus as there is no entry for uninstaller in
the start menu--programs folder and it is not listedin the add/remove
programs.
what to do?
please help.

Try restarting the machine in safe mode (F8 during boot).
After you get to the desk top, go back to the control
panel and retry to uninstall live update. I don't think
it runs in safe mode. good luck
