re-setting default home page in browser

My grandson accidently clicked on a message that came up
on his screen asking if he wanted the "site" set as his
default browser home page. That site is now coming up all
the time causing massive inappropriate web sites to be
directed to the computer. How can he get rid of the
current default home page settings and get the computer
back to the normal?
