Re-installing Windows

Good question Rock - no I haven't yet, but I think I will - I'm away for a
few days now, so it will have to wait until I return. I won't hold my breath
though. My experience of some of these help desks has not always been a good
one! Although, thankfully, I've not had to bother them very often. But if
you're still around when I get back I'll let you know.

Ok, they are pretty good when it comes to their own proprietary recovery
process. Diagnosing and solving problems, not very good, the usual response
is to restore the system, which is in fact what you are trying to do. I
wouldn't get into a discussion over what you did, just that you have a
problem with the system and want to run the recovery but it doesn't work.
