Change My Product Code for Windows XP

All I want to do is leagally change my product code. I recently had to buy a
legal copy of Windows XP Pro. My problem is the new copy, 2002, is older than
the 2003, illegal copy already on my machine. Short of a complete "new
install", I have no way to update the product code. Even the Genuine Windows
Advantage Tool does not work as an upgrade. I get a message box, saying that
I have a disc write error of a lack of disc space. I have 10 gigs of space
left. Any help out there? In trying to do the right thing---I keep banging
my head into the "Windows Wall".

Windows XP Professional (32-bit) is all Windows XP Professional (32-bit).
There is no 2002/2003 version. You can have integrated SP1a, SP2, SP3 and
even more updates and such. As long as your installed copy is XP
Professional and the copy you purchased is XP Professional - you can change
your product key:

The Genuine Advantage Product Key Update Tool is only valid for
users attempting to change their current non-genuine Product Key
to a genuine COA sticker or genuine Product Key - all without a
reinstall!
