Hi,

I have XP on a hard drive right now. I want to change my
hard drive and install XP on it. How can I transfer
across the product key information without getting into
any kind of trouble?

Thanks.

You don't transfer the key, you just enter the same key when you do the
install, activation is generally painless.

Just go ahead and reinstall. You will need to activate again, but if
this is all you have changed, it will go through on the net as it did
first time. See hint in 'Format Hard drive' at
www.aumha.org/win5/a/wpa.htm to conserve one 'vote' in that - but if it
is more than 120 days since you did it first, there is no need to bother
even with that as the records at the activation center will have been
cleared out.
