re-installation problems

I had Windows XP Pro installed on my C: drive but decided
to re-install it since I used to do it with Win98 every 6
months. I loaded the CD in Windows and chose a Clean
Install. When it went through the setup, it didn't ask me
which drive to install it on and it installed XP on one of
my other drives (I have 6 partitions). Then I found out
that you can choose where to install in the Advanced
Options and I put C: drive. Now, when it goes through the
setup, I can't choose the C: drive or delete the C:
partition cause it says that I need it for the temporary
files. Now, it keeps going to setup even without the CD
after every reboot. Please help!!

Are you booting with the CD? If yes, watch carefully for the screens
regarding partitions. For your reference, a site with screenshots of the
setup screens and a description of the appropriate responses for the
